Frequently asked questions
When you arrive for your consult, you will be taken into the physiotherapy clinic room at my home and we will spend the first 15 to 20 minutes gathering a history of your primary complaint. After this I will conduct a physical assessment. This might be done in various positions relating to when you experience your symptoms. At this point we will discuss the findings and make a plan together on how we progress with treatment and rehab of your injury.
Physiotherapy can be helpful for people of all ages with a wide range of health conditions, including problems affecting the bones, joints and soft tissues. Pelvic health related issues such as incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse bowel issues, sexual issues, pelvic pain and pre & post natal symptoms. Physiotherapy can improve your physical activity while helping you to prevent further injuries.
The clinic is just outside the village of Stenton in the Biel hamlet, approximately 7 minutes from East Linton. The location details will be sent to you in your booking confirmation email.
There is ample parking for several cars the private driveway.
There is a separate bathroom next to the clinic room with a toilet and handwashing facilities.
Wear something comfortable that you can move easily in. Sports wear is perfect.
No, you can self refer to this practice. There's no need for a GP or consultant referral to book an appointment.
Appointments are 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on your booking. This allows ample time for assessment, treatment and advice without feeling rushed.
Unfortunately, I do not accept health insurance such as Bupa or Aviva. Some insurance companies will accept a pay and reimbursement claim however it is best to check first with your provider in the first instance.
Where you are able to give 48 hours notice of cancellation, please do so in order for me to offer the slot to another patient on the waiting list. Please contact me via telephone or WhatsApp on 07591097318. Cancellations made with 24 hours notice will be charged at the full cost of the appointment. I understand unforeseen circumstances can arise so please do contact me as soon as possible to discuss your situation.
You will be required to pay at the time of booking online via stripe.
If you feel unwell, please let me know so we can rearrange your appointment. If your child becomes unwell and they were due to attend the appointment with you, please do let me know and we can rearrange.
